Moshav Ben Ami, where I have lived
for the past 12 years, is located in the
Western Galilee next to the town of
Nahariya and 8 kilometers south of the
border between Israel and Lebanon.
Farmers on the moshav raise
avocados and citrus fruits, and there
are several home industries and bed-
and-breakfast-style lodgings for
tourists.
Home sweet home among the avocado orchards.
Ein Shefa, Ein Tzuf, and Ein Giach form this
reservoir in Ben-Ami, the largest body of water
in the area! Here are my dogs in for a dip!
Sights reminiscent of hard times - Katyusha
rockets struck the area of the reservoir,
starting brush fires.
More hits by the reservoir, and one or Nasralla's 3,970 rockets.
Our former home at Adamit: My children, Yael
and Itai, almost 25 years ago, at our former
kibbutz. The view to the south from our
hammock at the edge of the cliff overlooked
the Western Galilee. This photo was a
picture postcard photographed by Rafi
Rondel of Kibbutz Elon.

video clip of one of the rocket
attacks , taken by my
neighbor, Zeev Grunberg, on
August 3rd. This rocket
landed in the fields just
north-east of our house.
