Shalom from Bracha in Moshav Ben-Ami
    in the Western Galilee!
This site started out as a daily cartoon sent by email  to
concerned  friends and family at the beginning of the Second
Lebanon War last summer,  and soon became a daily blog
about my experiences here in Ben Ami during the conflict with
the Hizballah n and during these days of uncertainty.
I
I've continued these pages as a running commentary on the
situation in the Middle East, my experiences and
correspondence with people on both sides of the border, and
    my own reflections.

I hope you'll understand, reflect, and maybe have a bit of a
laugh during these difficult times that Israel and the world are
    experiencing.

The single clenched fist lifted and ready,
Or the open hand held out and waiting.

For we meet by one or the other.

Introducing: The
Palestine Island Paradise!
For all that Palestinians can move about
between the Jewish settlements,
checkpoints, and Jewish only roads, they
may just as well be surrounded by water in
their separate enclaves.  This map, drawn
by a French artist, says it all.  Try and plot
your course from, say, Jenin to Hebron.
See how many rivers you have to forge to
get there.  Take into consideration the time-
consuming checks at each "forge" and
you'll be able to imagine a little what it is
like to travel in the West Bank
.
